Tarka Springs
Tarka is artesian spring water sourced directly from a spring on a family-run farm in Devon. We were asked to create a new brand identity which revolutionises the look and feel of Tarka Spring Water - to drive a reappraisal of the brand, and position it as a genuine category leader, initially within the South West.
Having visited the farm we were struck by the way water quite literally ‘springs up’ everywhere - so we captured this in a unique illustration which wraps around every bottle.
The new Tarka brand mark becomes part of the landscape which is filled with discoverable details. Water pops-up from the ground, chimneys and even spouts from the engines of passing tractors, each time surprising the characters of the farm. The illustration is reproduced in different colourways to help navigate between still and sparkling water and is also adapted to feature rugby players, golfers and cyclists on sports bottles. The design was also applied to the website, stationery, POS and trade advertising.
